Our embroidery journey

In 1960, Eduardo's parents started an embroidery business in Aguascalientes, Mexico.  In 1979 Eduardo became fascinated with computers and how it would change the embroidery industry.  He pursued training in California to become a Tajima technician.

In 1989, the family tradition crossed the Texas border after Eduardo and Dolma's marriage in Aguascalientes.  Together, in 1994, they started Stitch Gallery in Harlingen, Texas.  By 1996 Stitch Gallery started offering digitizing as well. After two years, Eduardo mastered the process.

Stitch Gallery has grown significantly over the years with two locations with over 30 team members.

This dedication to craftsmanship and customer satisfaction is what our clients truly love and why they keep coming back.

Evolution of the Process

The industry saw a major shift in 1979 with the introduction of automatic embroidery machines, allowing for greater consistency and efficiency. Today, we use advanced equipment, digitizing software, and modern techniques to transform artwork into clean, precise stitching—while still honoring the fundamentals that built the craft.

Capabilities, Materials & Techniques

Embroidery is one of the most versatile decoration methods available. We work across virtually all textiles—regardless of composition, thickness, or structure. With the use of specialized stabilizers and backing materials, we create a solid foundation that allows for clean, consistent stitching on everything from lightweight fabrics to heavy-duty materials.

Our approach is simple:
We build the embroidery on the backing—sometimes it feels like the garment just got in the way.

Techniques include:

  • Standard (Satin Stitch): Clean, smooth, and professional for logos and lettering
  • 3D / Puff Embroidery: Raised, dimensional stitching for bold impact (especially on caps)
  • Appliqué: Fabric-based designs that reduce stitch count and cost while maximizing size

From polos and hats to jackets, bags, and beyond, embroidery delivers a durable, elevated finish that stands the test of time.

Your custom embroidery journey, step by step

Embarking on a custom embroidery project with Stitch Gallery Texas is a straightforward and enjoyable process. Here are the main steps:

Step 1: Consultation and design submission

It all begins when you reach out to us with your idea. You can submit your design, logo, or concept through our website, email, or by visiting our physical shop. Our team will review your submission and discuss your vision, intended use, and any specific requirements, such as colors, sizing, and placement. We'll also help you choose the best item for embroidery.

Step 2: Quote and artwork approval

Once we have a clear understanding of your project, we’ll provide a detailed quote. This includes pricing based on stitch count, item quantity, and any design digitization fees. After you approve the quote, our expert digitizers will convert your artwork into an embroidery-ready file. We will then send you a digital proof for your final approval, ensuring every detail is perfect before we proceed.

Step 3: Production and quality check

With your approval, our skilled embroiderers get to work. Using our advanced machinery and premium threads, we meticulously stitch your design onto your chosen items. Throughout the production process, each item undergoes rigorous quality checks to ensure accuracy, durability, and a flawless finish. We maintain high standards to deliver only the best.

Step 4: Completion and pickup/delivery

Once your order is complete and has passed our final quality inspection, we'll notify you. You can then pick up your custom embroidered items at our Lakeway, TX location, or we can arrange for shipping if preferred. We aim for timely delivery so you can enjoy your new, personalized items as soon as possible.
